Dave Van Ronk, out of Brooklyn, New York, was an American folk singer who played a huge role in the Greenwich Village folk scene in the 60s. Along with being a singer and songwriter, Van Ronk was also a supportive figure for young artists coming up during that period of time.

Among the artists Van Ronk would befriend were legends such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Ramblin' Jack Elliot and others.
