Bio

Charlie Christian is one of the most important figures in the history of jazz guitar. He came to prominence through playing in the Benny Goodman Sextet in the late 30s and early 40s.

Christian was one of the forerunners in both bebop and cool jazz, and has a style that is still studied to this day. He died at age 25 from tuberculosis, but had already managed to record 5 albums worth of material as a leader.
