Jackie McLean was a jazz saxophonist and composer who played in bop, hard bop, post bop, modal, progressive and mainstream styles. McLean played on Miles Davis' "Dig" album when he was still in his teems, and went on to record dozens of albums as a leader as well as appearing on countless others as a sideman.
