Oscar Peterson was a Canadian jazz pianist and composer who was regonized as one of the greatest jazz pianist of any era. His career spanned more than 60 years and he toured extensively around the globe.

Over the course of his career, Peterson garnered 8 Grammy awards and received more than a dozen honorary degrees.
