Born David Howell Evans, The Edge is an iconic figure with the iconic band, U2. The Edge is primarily a guitarist, but also plays keys and lends background vocals to U2's rock sound and songs.

His guitar stylings, inculding his use of rhythmic delay and sparse, almost minimalistic playing, has not only helped to define U2's unique sound, but inspired and influenced a whole generation of guitarists around the globe.
